Allie Chesterman
Hi!
I’m Allie, a 3rd year Geography student at the University of Canterbury. Originally from a sheep and beef in Hawkes Bay, I went on to study Veterinary Science at Massey University. After two and a half years of studying Vet, I decided to change my degree to align my path with my passion for sustainability and the physical environment. I resonate with the promise “leave no one behind” highlighted by the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. In particular I want NZ to bring our rural community with us by developing a sustainable food and fibre industry.
One policy change I’d like to see: the protection and preservation of more of our NZ backyard, and globally.
If I could choose one superpower: whoever I talk to will then feel my drive to take climate change seriously and take responsibility for their actions to live more sustainably.
