Findal Proebst - Secretary
Kia Ora!
I am Findal. I’m a human, a conscious consumer, an environmental contemplator and an activist. I grew up on a diverse biodynamic orchard near Motueka where I could see the immediate cause and effect of actions taken across the enterprise. This grounded me in a state of curiosity and responsibility in any decision-making process, which I maintain to this day. I have studied a Bachelor of Commerce (Agriculture) at Lincoln University, and recently completed a Master of Applied Science looking at the drivers behind farmer decision-making toward a new farm management approach, applying Convention Theory to Regenerative Agriculture adoption by pastoral farmers in Canterbury, New Zealand. These have informed my current occupation as a soil health consultant, based in Christchurch.
One policy change I’d like to see: a tax on sugar and non-renewable products, with the revenue creating circular systems and supporting innovation in all sectors.
If I could choose one superpower: to connect humans with a common goal and assist them with creating a brighter future through collaborative projects. Oh wait, already doing that!
