Lara Dalldorf

Hello!

I’m Lara, a 24 year old science lover. I come from a farming background, on both a dairy farm and a sheep and beef farm in Hawkes Bay. I studied a BSc (Hons) in Microbiology and Pharmacology at the University of Otago. Ultimately, my passion is in the food and fibre industry and I am currently completing my Masters in Animal Science at Lincoln University. My project is focused on identifying inflammatory biomarkers in sheep to diagnose pneumonia and pleurisy.

One policy change I’d like to see: to reduce food insecurity in NZ

If I could choose one superpower: to stop the development of antimicrobial resistance in humans and animals
