I was born and raised in the mighty Manawatū on a small farm, and then spent 4 years dairy farming, before heading abroad to race mountain bikes whilst doing cropping seasons in between to fund the adventures. I then went on to study Software Engineering and Economics to give me tools to understand the mechanics of the world (economics) and how to leverage change (in my case with engineering) at scale to improve the way we farm. I’m also the Founder of Fruit Minder.
One policy change I’d like to see: tax deductability on early stage investment losses against portfolio gains to incentivize more investment into passionate founders with solutions to the worlds problems.
If I could choose one superpower: be able to click my fingers and have all negative externalities accounted for - and prices on things reflected the true costs.
