Kia Ora!

My childhood was spent running around the hills of a fifth-generation sheep and beef farm in the back-blocks of Gisborne. Growing up on an inter-generational farm has given me an appreciation for the responsibility we have for leaving our environment in a better place than when we started. We are faced with the challenge of feeding more people on less land in a rapidly changing climate. It is dealing with these sort of problems that I am most interested in. I have worked in climate and sustainability consulting, and am currently in the FMCG space as a climate and environment manager. 

 One policy change Iā€™d like to see:  introduction of a robust science-led biodiversity credit to promote more biodiverse farmland, and better recognition of on-farm native and indigenous forests and wetlands. 

If I could choose one superpower: have a connection to flora and fauna to understand how we could best support its growth - I believe there are a lot of fundamental questions that could be answered by
